How to perform the Netgear Router Reset task?

On Most Netgear Routers: Netgear Router Reset

Step 1: Locate the “Reset” button. You will see it on the back of the router & may be labeled as “reset” or “restore factory settings”. A small button that is recessed to avoid accidental resets is given.

Step 2: Insert a bent paper clip into the recess.

Step 3: Gently press and hold the button for about 7 seconds. The power light will begin to blink.

Step 4: Release the “Reset” button. A router would reboot and the power light will shine as green and white. The router will restore to factory settings. Follow instructions in documents of your model to set up and configure your router.

Netgear Router Reset for DGN2000 or DG834Gv5 Router:

1.   Find the button on side of the router labeled as “wireless” and “WPS”.

2.   Press & hold the “wireless” & “WPS” buttons together for about six seconds. The power LED will blink red. Release the buttons. The router will reboot & the power LED will glow.

After this process, the router will restore to its factory settings. Follow instructions in the documentation for your model to set up & configure your router.
